ATTICUS FINCH books place in the Betway Summer Cup

The Alec Laird-trained Master Of My Fate gelding ATTICUS FINCH booked his place in the Grade 1 Betway Summer Cup after winning the Grade 3 BETWAY VICTORY MOON STAKES.

Calvin Habib boldly took the four-year-old Varsfontein Stud-bred gelding to the front and kept hime there.

He was challenged on the outside by a number of horses including his old stablemate BILLY BOWLEGS and by ELECTRIC GOLD. However, ATTICUS FINCH found extra at the 200m mark and went on to win by 1.25 lengths.
