Racing Round Up With 'The Racing Guy'

Yesterday Zac Purdon joined Douglas Whyte and Frankie Dettorri as a 3 time winner of this event. He achieved this with 3 seconds and a third place enough to beat the winners of the 4 challenge races. Tom Marquand, Hollie Doyle, James Macdonald and Mikael Barzalona who tied for second.

The winner collected HK$ 500 000 while the runners up got HK$ 75 000 each.

The trainers prize of Hk$ 200 000 went to David Hayes with a 4 way tie for second.

Unfortunately, Lyle Hewitson could only finish joint 10th with a 4th ,6th and two 7th places. Sure it was a good experience and hopefully he's around to participate next year!

It was good to see the track hold up at Hollywood Bets Scottsville and the 8 race card being completed.

In soft going it was a mixed bag of results. Even with 2 favourites and a 3rd favourite winning in the pick 6 it paid a healthy 312k. The upset being Mark Dixon’s BABY AFRICA winning well under Keagan de Melo from the favourite DIAMOND GIRL. This rounded off a good day for Keagan de Melo who rode a treble on the day!
