Users spent 100million hours on Formgrids

Posted on Monday, 14 June 2021

"I visited Wolfgang in his hectic workspace and decided to have a look at our Google Analytics Stats," says David Safi, the founder of Formgrids.

"I became very interested when I noticed that after doing some arithmetic with some of the stats presented by Google Analytics, that Formgrids users are coming close to having used Formgrids for a 100million hours," noted Safi.

"That's quite a big figure to get into one's mind so I thought I would share this moment with you, our dear and loyal users," added Safi, "We've had our ups and downs as many of you know, but something like this certainly changes one's perspective of things."

Looking at some essential numbers

"Firstly, the time of measurement is from 1 January 2009 through to 13 June 2021," pointed out Safi, "So those of you who are more curious or stats savvy will want to know that."

"I think what really makes this quite remarkable is that Formgrids has always been independent. We have had to fight our way all along from when we started to today," continued Safi, "It is not that we never had any help. One cannot say that. But more than 90% of the time it was our tiny team of dedicated staff, underpaid and overworked, that kept things going. More times than I care for, I had to chip in with financial support. This can be tough."

"So taking all that into account, this is quite a remarkable achievement," noted Safi with pride, "So, here is a breakdown of the stats."

"So how did I get to a 100million hours?" said Safi, "Well, I just took the number of sessions and multiplied this with the average time spent on the site per user. That gets you 99 438 502.5 hours - see very close to 100million."

"Is this technically a 100% correct way to analyze stats? Who cares. It is interesting and it surely gives one an idea of usage," Safi noted with a grin, "It's not wrong either - it makes logical sense."

"Of interest, these hours calculate into 11 351 years," ended off Safi.
