THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) MY WICKED WAYS (*X Jacobs) cast his left front shoe on the way to the start and had to be replaced.
b) CAPTAIN’S DARLING (R Fourie) was restless in the stalls and struck the front gate.
c) VELVET DAWN (J Bekker) jumped awkwardly with her head up, losing two lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) The start of this race was delayed as the left front shoe on MY WICKED WAYS (*X Jacobs) had to be replaced.
b) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CAPTAIN’S DARLING (R Fourie), Trainer SJ Snaith will be advised to have this filly re schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
c) In view of the performance of CAPTAIN’S DARLING (R Fourie), the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d) Jockey A Domeyer, the rider of VANDAH’S SPIRIT, reported that this filly changed strides continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine.
e) SPIRIT FESTIVAL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith was advised. (SC)
